We recently had a fantastic stay at 40 Kirkgate and we were blown away by the beautiful decor throughout the hotel. The attention to detail was amazing, with colorful and stylish touches, made us smile. The fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard, including soft close drawers and mood lighting in the shower. The beds were comfortable with good quality mattresses and luxurious silk bedding. The fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances was a definite plus. We were also kinda surprised to find a bottle of wine, fresh flowers, and luxury hand wash and hand cream, which showed the thoughtfulness and style that went into this beautiful hotel. Despite its central location, there was only a bit of traffic noise, to be expected in an old terraced hotel.

The location of the property is ideal, just a short walk into town and close to the racecourse. the accommodation itself is beautifully decorated with classy, vintage touches. the cleanliness is immaculate and the host even greets guests with personal touches like a cupcake and a glass of fizz or ale.
Some guests have mentioned that there can be a little bit of road traffic noise, although it is not a major issue and can be easily overlooked.

the decor was beautifully done and the artwork was amazing, giving it a real home from home feel. the entire property was immaculate, and the kitchen was a good size. the owner, Allison, was also very easy to contact if needed. My teenage daughter especially loved the Alice in Wonderland theme of her room. I highly recommend this property over any local hotels or B&Bs. Cons: Nothing – everything was great! 👍.
